What is an image to PDF converter?
Many online forms ask you to upload documents as a single PDF, such as your marksheets, Aadhaar card, caste certificate or a signed application. Most of us have these as photos on a phone. An image to PDF converter puts one or more pictures into a clean PDF file, and our tool also lets you set a maximum file size, so the PDF is small enough for the portal you are using.
Key features
- Combine one or many images into a single PDF, in the order you select them.
- Set a target size in KB, such as 100 KB, 200 KB or 500 KB, and the PDF is fitted to it.
- Choose A4 pages with a margin, or pages that match each image exactly.
- Landscape pictures automatically get landscape pages.
- No watermark, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.
How the conversion works
Each picture is placed on a white page and saved inside the PDF as a JPEG. When you set a target size, the tool tries different quality levels and, if needed, slightly smaller picture dimensions, until the finished PDF fits under your limit. It then shows you the real size of the file before you download it.
How to convert images to PDF
- Select one or more images. You can pick many at once.
- Choose the page size and margin.
- Type the maximum size in KB, or leave it empty for the best quality.
- Press “Create PDF”.
- Read the size shown, then press the Download button.
Is it safe to use for my documents?
Your documents often contain personal details, so we do not upload them anywhere. The whole conversion runs inside your own browser. The files stay on your device, nothing is stored on our server, and everything is cleared when you close the page.
When should you use a target size?
Use it whenever a form says “PDF not more than 200 KB” or similar. If the form has no limit, leave the field empty so your document keeps the best possible quality. For documents with small print, such as marksheets, avoid a very low limit, because the text may become hard to read. A good approach is to start with a larger limit and reduce it only if the portal rejects the file.
Tips for better PDFs
Take the photos in good light, keep the document flat and fill the frame. Crop away the background before you convert, because a tighter picture gives a smaller and clearer PDF. If you need several documents in one file, select them in the exact order they should appear.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine many images into one PDF?
Yes. Each image becomes one page, in the order you selected them.
What happens if my target size is too small?
The tool will tell you that it could not reach that size. Try a higher limit or fewer pictures.
Is the PDF text selectable?
No. The pages are pictures, which is the normal result when you convert photos to PDF.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, you can pick pictures straight from your phone gallery or camera.
